    Choose Bikes

    This is taken directly from the Ninjas site, written by the leader of the pack, Coxy after a few bevvies and extremely well received by all;

    Choose Life.

    Choose to ride.

     Choose a bike.

    Choose a make.

Choose a model, engine size, a paint scheme and optional extras.

Choose the best helmet, matching gloves and good boots.

    Choose fixed interest payments.

    Choose your friends.

Choose a full set of leathers on hire purchase.

Choose to go riding with your mates and wondering where to go on a Sunday morning.

Choose sitting on your bike watching mind numbing, spirit crushing cars going nowhere fast whilst the drivers stuff junk food into their mouths and make calls on their mobile phones.

Choose racing away at the end of it all, enjoying riding to wherever you’re heading with nothing more than time to worry about.

I chose not to choose cars.

    I chose something else.

    Choose your future.

    Choose bikes.

The thing I love best about this is the repeated "choose". You can choose... life is up to you. You can spend your time making excuses for why you can't do things, the bottom line is either you don't want to or you're scared... (which still means you don't want to - because the bad thing might happen...)

Whatever you do decide... be proud of it - be happy to stand up for who you are and what your choice might be. We only get the one life (I think!). You don't want to get to the other end and then say... "But Lord! I didn't know!" or as Billy Connolly says he may well reply "Well you f**king know now!"

Your choices should have the power to make you smile, to laugh, to relish doing what it is you choose to do. If you find yourself doing things you hate - ask yourself why you do it. Don't feed yourself excuses, face the answers and DO something about it.

Update (2012) - Wow. I'm proud of what I have written at the end of this, and I'm right, so right. I only wish I could follow my own advice as readily as I dispense it! I do, in the end, but I so wish I had the courage to make the choices quicker and wiser. Choose to make the choice, don't let life pass you by. Choose wisely or unwisely, but please choose something.
